FRP lamination for fertilizer plants is a fiberglass lining laid over mild steel handrails, I-beams, chemical tanks and other equipment to protect them from the chemicals and corrosive air in a fertilizer factory. Mui Fatt has lined mild steel equipment at a fertilizer factory in a clear (resin colour) or grey finish.

How we line plant equipment
- Site visit: our technical staff check the equipment and access before work starts.
- Surface preparation: steel is ground to remove rust; concrete is blasted; dust is vacuumed off.
- Priming: a resin primer is brushed or rolled on and left until tacky.
- Lamination: 2 to 5 plies of glass mat are laid into wet resin and rolled, then a surface veil.
- Topcoat: a resin-rich waxed topcoat in clear or grey.
- Inspection: visual inspection for blisters, cracks and trapped air, with the plies counted as they are laid.
We work at 10°C to 50°C and relative humidity below 90%. No welding or cutting may take place near the lining area.
