Mui Fatt supplies plastic road barriers (penghalang jalan plastik), safety and traffic cones (kon keselamatan and kon trafik) and flexible safety posts (tiang keselamatan) for road works, construction sites, car parks, factories, ports and events across Malaysia. The RB-100 PE road barrier is made locally at the Mui Fatt rotomoulding plant in Port Klang, Selangor.

The barrier, the cones and the flexible post are moulded from linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) with UV stabilisers. They do not rust, resist corrosive chemicals and acids, and are built for Malaysian heat, sun and rain. The RB-100 barrier is filled with water on site for weight, interlocks with the next barrier, and is drained to move.

Barrier, Cone or Flexible Post: Which to Use?

In simple terms, use water-filled barriers where traffic must be kept out of a work zone, cones to warn drivers and guide them past it, and flexible posts where a lane line has to stay in place.

PE Road Barriers (Penghalang Jalan Plastik)

The RB-100 is made by Mui Fatt Industries Sdn Bhd at its rotomoulding plant in Port Klang. It is moulded in one piece from UV-stabilised LLDPE, so there are no welded seams to crack or leak. Empty, one person can carry and place it. Filled with water, it becomes heavy and stable, and the interlocking ends join the units into a continuous line that absorbs and spreads an impact. It needs little maintenance.

Filling and Moving the Barriers

1. Place the empty barriers in a line and lock the ends together.
2. Fit the outlet cap tightly.
3. Fill each barrier with water through the inlet cap, from a hose or water truck, to at least three quarters full, then close the cap.
4. To move the line, open the outlet cap, drain the water and lift each unit away.

Safety Cones and Traffic Cones (Kon Keselamatan)

Mui Fatt safety and traffic cones are moulded from LLDPE with UV stabilisers, which stands up to sun, rain, chemicals and acids. Traffic cones (TC) share the safety cone (SC) sizes. Reflector stickers are available for night use.

The TC-30 and SC-30 are both 30 inch class cones of the same height and base. Tell us which suits your site and we will confirm the stock model and colour.

How to Choose a Cone Height

• 18 inch: car parks, indoor areas and places with slow traffic.
• 25 inch: a middle size for car parks, factory roads and work zones.
• 30 inch: roads and highways, where faster drivers must see the cones early. Set them in a taper ahead of a row of water-filled RB-100 barriers for a lane closure.

Flexible Safety Posts (Tiang Keselamatan)

The FP-28 flexible safety post marks lanes, kerbs, islands and car park aisles so drivers keep to the right path. It is moulded from polyethylene (LLDPE with UV stabilisers) by Mui Fatt Industries and carries reflector stickers for night visibility. Because it is plastic, it does not rust and is not a hard steel post.

Can the road barriers be linked together?

Yes. The ends of the RB-100 interlock, so a row of barriers forms one continuous line that spreads an impact along the row.

Which safety cone height should I use?

What are the sizes of the traffic cones?

The TC-18 is about 460 mm high on a base of about 270 x 270 mm. The TC-25T is about 635 mm (25 inches) high. The TC-30 and SC-30 are about 770 mm (30 inches) high on a 370 x 370 mm square base. Traffic cones share the safety cone sizes.

What colours are the barriers and cones?

RB-100 barriers come in fluorescent orange and white, set alternately in a line. The TC-18 is orange, the TC-30 is orange with a white reflective band, and the TC-25T comes in orange or yellow. Ask us for the colours in stock.

Are the barriers and cones visible at night?

Yes. Reflector stickers are available for the RB-100 barrier, the cones and the FP-28 post. The SC-30 has a reflector and the TC-30 has a white reflective band.

What is a flexible safety post used for?

The FP-28 flexible safety post, 720 mm high and 210 mm wide, marks lanes, kerbs, islands and car park aisles. It is plastic, so it does not rust and is not a hard steel post. The fixing set depends on the surface, so tell us if it is asphalt or concrete.

Can I add a hoarding board to the road barrier?

Yes. The H-180 PE hoarding board, 1,140 mm wide and 1,140 mm high, is made to sit on top of the RB-100 barrier to screen road works and sites. Nine 30 mm holes let wind pass through. Order one board for each barrier.
