Because FRP rods are solid glass and resin, they bend under load and spring back instead of staying bent like steel. They are also much lighter than steel bar of the same size.

Material and Finish

• Process: pultruded E-glass rovings and mat with a surface veil that keeps glass fibres from the surface and improves UV and corrosion resistance
• Resin: isophthalic polyester as standard; vinyl ester or fire-retardant (ASTM E84) on request
• Colour: RAL 7035 light grey; other colours on request
• Properties: light, rust free, non-conductive and resistant to chemicals and salt air

Platforms and walkways, cooling towers, handrails and ladders, wastewater plants, chemical plants, marine and coastal structures, and electrical areas where steel would rust or conduct.
