Updated: 20 October 2026

Mui Fatt makes OEM and custom-made (customade) products in polyethylene (PE/HDPE) and fiberglass (FRP/GRP) to your drawing, sample or photo, for factories, builders, councils, hotels and other brands across Malaysia. PE parts are rotationally moulded by Mui Fatt Industries Sdn Bhd and FRP parts are made by Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd, both in Port Klang, Selangor. Mui Fatt Marketing Sdn Bhd handles enquiries and quotations.

Every OEM job follows the same path: you send a drawing, sample or photo; we choose the process and material, quote the mould and unit price, and make a first piece for your approval; then the order goes into production. Mui Fatt Marketing and Y.T. Fibreglass work under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.

This page is the guide to both OEM ranges. Each section links to its sub-category, where every product is listed.

OEM and Custom Product Categories

Category What it covers Material and process Made by
OEM Polyethylene Rotomoulding (PE/HDPE) → Floats, bin liners and inner bins, drums, tanks, housings and containers PE/HDPE, rotational moulding Mui Fatt Industries Sdn Bhd
OEM Fiberglass FRP/GRP Products → Racks, trays, trolleys, panels, poles, signs, fences, covers, tanks and housings FRP/GRP: hand lay-up, contact moulding, filament winding, pultrusion Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd (FRP)
FRP Lamination FRP Lining → FRP lining laid on existing concrete, mild steel or stainless steel items, on site or at our factory Glass fibre mat and resin laid by hand, no mould Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd

The Two OEM Processes

PE Rotational Moulding at Mui Fatt Industries

Rotational moulding (rotomoulding) heats plastic powder in a rotating mould to form a hollow, seamless, one-piece part with even walls. The same Port Klang rotomoulding plant makes Mui Fatt PE water tanks, septic tanks, bins and road barriers. For OEM work it suits hollow parts such as floats, drums, tanks, housings and containers, and bin parts such as liners and inner bins in your size. PE parts can be moulded in colours to match your brand.

FRP Moulding at Y.T. Fibreglass

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP, also called GRP) is light, strong, rust free and resists chemicals. Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd makes custom FRP parts, and the resin is matched to the job: general purpose, isophthalic, vinyl ester or fire-retardant.

  • Hand lay-up and contact moulding: glass fibre and resin laid into a mould by hand, for tanks, trays, trolleys, panels and covers.
  • Filament winding: pipes, poles and round tanks.
  • Pultrusion: profiles, poles, signposts and pallets.

PE vs FRP for Custom Parts: Which Material?

Factor PE rotomoulding FRP / GRP
Best for Hollow, seamless one-piece parts: floats, drums, tanks, housings, bin liners Panels, trays, covers, trolleys, poles, signs, fences, special shapes and textures
Construction One piece with even walls, no welded joints Glass fibre and resin, built up in layers in a mould, or wound or pultruded
Rust and corrosion Does not rust Does not rust; resin chosen for chemical service
Electrical Plastic, does not conduct electricity Non-conductive; FRP panels let radio signals pass
Wall thickness examples 2 to 3 mm bin liners; 3 mm tube floater 4 to 5 mm on the hand-laid double containment tray
Colour Moulded in colour to match your brand Colours to order
Tooling Rotomoulding mould; an existing mould is used if one fits Mould for moulded parts; no mould for on-site lamination

In simple terms, choose PE when the part is hollow and must be seamless, and choose FRP when the part is large, flat, shaped, non-conductive or needs a resin matched to chemicals. If you are not sure, send us the drawing and the use, and we will advise.

Mould or On-Site Lamination for One-Off Large Items?

A mould pays off when you need repeat pieces of the same shape, because every piece comes from the same tool. If no existing mould fits, we quote the new mould together with the unit price, so you can compare before you decide.

For a single large item, or an existing tank, pit, trench, roof or steel structure, a new mould may not be the best route. FRP lamination (FRP lining) builds glass fibre mat and resin by hand directly on concrete, mild steel or stainless steel, at your site or at our Port Klang factory. Tanks, pools, pits and roofs are lined on site; smaller items such as shafts and steel parts can be laminated at the factory. See FRP Lamination FRP Lining →.

Frequently Asked Questions About OEM and Custom Products

What OEM and custom-made products does Mui Fatt make?

Mui Fatt makes custom parts in two materials. Polyethylene (PE/HDPE) parts such as floats, bin liners, tanks and housings are made by rotational moulding. Fiberglass (FRP/GRP) parts such as racks, trays, trolleys, panels, poles, signs, fences, covers and tanks are made by hand lay-up, contact moulding, filament winding or pultrusion.

Can you make a part to my sample or drawing?

Yes. Send us a drawing, sample or photo with the size, how the part will be used and the quantity. We check which process suits it, quote the mould and unit price, and make a first piece for your approval before production.

What is rotational moulding (rotomoulding)?

Rotational moulding heats plastic powder in a rotating mould to form a hollow, seamless, one-piece part with even walls. Mui Fatt Industries uses it for PE water tanks, septic tanks, bins and road barriers, and for OEM parts.

How are custom FRP parts made?

Most custom FRP parts are made by hand lay-up and contact moulding: glass fibre and resin are laid into a mould and left to cure. Filament winding is used for pipes, poles and round tanks, and pultrusion for profiles, poles, signposts and pallets.

Should my custom part be PE or FRP?

Choose PE rotomoulding for hollow, seamless parts such as floats, liners, drums, tanks and housings. Choose FRP for large panels, special shapes and textures, non-conductive parts, chemical service and parts that need a matched resin. Send us the drawing and use, and we will advise.

Do I need to pay for a mould?

If one of our existing moulds fits your part, it can be used. If no existing mould fits, we quote a new mould together with the unit price, so you can see the full cost before you decide.

Is a mould or on-site FRP lamination better for a one-off large item?

A mould suits parts you need in repeat pieces of the same shape. For a single large item, or an existing tank, pit, roof or steel structure, FRP lamination may suit better: glass fibre mat and resin are laid by hand directly on the item, at your site or at our factory. See our FRP Lamination FRP Lining category.

Can you make a cover or lid to match my sample?

Send us the sample or clear photos with the sizes and how the cover will be used. We will advise whether it suits PE or FRP, check if an existing mould fits, and quote the mould and unit price.

Which resin is used for FRP parts?

The resin is matched to the use: general purpose polyester, isophthalic polyester, vinyl ester for chemical service, or a fire-retardant resin. Tell us the chemicals, temperature and location so we can choose.

What colours can OEM parts be made in?

PE parts can be moulded in colours to match your brand; PE bin liners are black as standard with other colours on request. FRP parts are made in colours to order.

Who makes the OEM products?

PE rotomoulded parts are made by Mui Fatt Industries Sdn Bhd, and FRP parts by Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd, both in Port Klang, Selangor. Mui Fatt Marketing Sdn Bhd handles enquiries and quotations.

How long does an OEM job take?

It depends on whether a new mould is needed, the size of the part and the quantity. We confirm the lead time with the quotation and after the first piece is approved.

What do I need to send for a quote?

Send a drawing, sample or photo, the main sizes and wall thickness if known, how and where the part will be used, the colour and the quantity. Use the contact page and our team will reply with a quotation.
