This is MG 30-38 MuiGrate FRP (fibreglass) molded grating, 30 mm thick with 38 x 38 mm square mesh, cut at our Port Klang factory to 4 x 8 ft (1,220 x 2,440 mm). Each piece covers 2.98 m² and weighs about 45 kg.

Buy only the size you need instead of a full 4 x 12 ft panel. As a walkway, MG 30-38 supports up to 914 mm apart for 100 kg foot traffic and 610 mm for 500 kg, or 457 mm for 1,000 kg. It is SIRIM certified to BS 4592-6:2008.

My opening is a different size. Can you cut it?
Yes. Any width and length up to the full 4 x 12 ft panel. Measure the recess wall to wall and leave at least 50 mm of ledge each side.

How is it fixed down?
With SS316 stainless steel clips, usually two per panel.

Can cars or lorries drive on it?
No. MuiGrate FRP grating is designed for pedestrian traffic only, as BS 4592 sets out. For areas with vehicles, use a steel or concrete cover.
