FRP Square Mesh Molded Grating 38 x 38 mm (25, 30, 38 and 50 mm)

FRP square mesh grating is MuiGrate molded fibreglass grating with a 38 x 38 mm square mesh and 69% open area, made in four thicknesses: 25, 30, 38 and 50 mm. The square mesh is equally strong in both directions, so panels can be laid either way and cut around pipes.

The thicker the grating, the further it spans between supports. Use the table below to pick a thickness, then open the model page for sizes, cut pieces and colours. All four are SIRIM certified to BS 4592-6:2008. Mui Fatt was the first maker of moulded FRP grating in Malaysia, and makes MuiGrate in Port Klang, Selangor.

Questions and Answers

Which thickness should I use for a walkway?
25 mm grating on supports up to 610 mm apart, or 38 mm on supports up to 914 mm apart.

Square mesh or minimesh?
Square 38 x 38 mm is the general choice. Minimesh (20 x 20 mm on top) stops heels, trolley wheels and small items falling through.

Can it be cut to size?
Yes, at the factory to ±5 mm, up to a full panel.

Can vehicles drive on it?
No. MuiGrate FRP grating is designed for pedestrian traffic only, as BS 4592 sets out, not for cars, lorries or forklifts.
