The CC 101.6 x 28.58 x 6.35 is a pultruded fiberglass (FRP) C-channel (also called U-channel): depth x flange width 101.6 x 28.58 mm (4 x 1-1/8 in); thickness 6.35 mm (1/4 in). It is the heavier of the two 4 inch channels, with a 1/4 inch wall and a narrower flange. It is made in Malaysia by Hexagon MF Composite Sdn Bhd, Mui Fatt's pultrusion sister company, in isophthalic polyester resin with a surface veil, in RAL 7035 light grey, and supplied by Mui Fatt.

Choosing This Size
The 6.35 mm wall makes this channel stronger and better at holding bolts than the 4.76 mm 4C. The flange is narrower (28.6 mm), so it fits where space is tight, for example as a stair stringer or a frame member against a wall.
