Questions About This Tank
Round or square: which should I choose?
Both come in the same capacities at 1 m high. Round tanks suit open floor areas; square tanks fit better against walls and in corners.
Is it safe for drinking water?
Yes. Mui Tanks are made to MS 1241-1:2011 for cold water storage, SIRIM certified and registered with SPAN. The FRP is non-toxic and does not rust.
How should it be installed?
Place it on a flat, level support such as plywood or concrete that carries the whole base. Fit a backing plate outside the tank at the ball valve, use plastic or rubber washers and PTFE tape (no putty or jointing compound), cut pipe holes with a hole saw or sharp punch, support all pipes, and keep the tank away from heaters and lamps.
What does /C mean in the model name?
C means circular. MT-440/C is the round 440 gallon tank; MT-440 is the square one.
Which sizes have steel reinforcement?
The MT-880/C (880 gallons) has steel reinforcement laminated with FRP.
