Data Centre GRP Sectional Roof Storage Tank for Domestic Cold Water
The FRP-ST-DC-ROOF is a GRP sectional panel roof storage tank for the domestic cold water supply of a data centre. Placed on the roof, it feeds the building by gravity and keeps a reserve of water if the mains supply is interrupted. The panels are light enough to be lifted to the roof and bolted together on site, and the tank is divided into two compartments for maintenance without loss of supply. Panels are made by Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd, the tank is SIRIM QAS certified to MS 1390:2010 and registered with SPAN, and Mui Fatt Marketing Sdn Bhd supplies and installs it across Peninsular Malaysia.

How heavy is a roof tank?
Each 1,000 litres of water weighs 1,000 kg, plus the panels and steel skid. Give the full tank weight to your structural engineer for the roof slab and plinth design.
Can the panels be lifted to an existing roof?
Yes. Each panel is light enough to be carried by hand or by a small hoist, so no large crane is needed for the tank itself.
Does sunlight affect the water?
