Data Centre GRP Sectional Break Tank for Domestic Cold Water
The FRP-ST-DC-BREAK is a GRP sectional panel break tank for the domestic cold water system of a data centre. A break tank separates the mains water supply from the building system, protecting the mains from backflow and giving the pumps a steady supply. The tank is divided into two compartments, so one side can be cleaned or repaired while the other keeps the site supplied. The panels are made by Y.T. Fibreglass Industries Sdn Bhd, the tank is SIRIM QAS certified to MS 1390:2010 and registered with SPAN, and Mui Fatt Marketing Sdn Bhd supplies and installs it across Peninsular Malaysia.

Why two compartments?
Data centres cannot lose their water supply. With two compartments, one side is drained for cleaning or repair while the other stays in service.
How fast is installation?
The bolted panels are carried in and assembled on site, so there is no heavy lifting of a one-piece tank. A standard tank typically takes 2 to 4 days once the plinth is ready.
How much maintenance is needed?
Very little. GRP does not rust, and the panels block light so algae cannot grow. We recommend a yearly tank cleaning and a check of the joints.
