An FRP sludge settling tank is a closed glass-fibre tank where solids in wastewater or sewage settle out before the next treatment stage. Mui Fatt builds it horizontal or vertical, from about 1,000 L to 100,000 L, with a manhole, inlet and outlet pipes and a level indicator. In Malay it is called tangki enap cemar gentian kaca.

Resin Selection
- GP (orthophthalic polyester): for water and mild, non-aggressive liquids.
- ISO (isophthalic polyester): a premium polyester with good chemical resistance.
- Vinyl ester: for severe corrosion, including strong acids and alkalis.
- Hybrid: vinyl ester inside for chemical resistance, GP outside for economy.
