PE Bio-Filter Models and Sizes

All models use 100 mm inlet and outlet pipes. Dimensions are from the Mui Fatt PE bio-filter catalogue (rev. 2014). The MFR2-PE body is 1,200 mm high and about 1,300 mm overall.

How the PE Bio-Filter Works

Sewage first enters the settling chamber, where solids settle out. The liquid then rises through plastic bio-media, where bacteria break down fine particles and dissolved matter. The treated effluent leaves through the outlet by gravity. There are no moving parts, and the up-flow filter does not clog.

Installation in Brief

Dig the pit with 300 to 600 mm working space all round. Cast a 150 mm Grade 30 concrete base with BRC-A9 mesh and four stainless steel anchor hooks. Strap the tank down with SS 304 straps, fill it with water, then backfill with sand in 150 mm layers.
