GTSL-38(67) TruGrid FRP Pultruded Grating, 38 mm, 67% Open

The GTSL-38(67) is a TruGrid FRP (fiberglass) pultruded grating with 38 mm high slim bearing bars. "SL" means slim bar and "(67)" means 67% open area. The bars sit at 30.5 mm centres with cross ties every 152.4 mm, and the grating weighs only 17.6 kg/m2, so panels are light to handle and install. It does not rust, does not conduct electricity and resists chemicals, so it suits walkways, platforms and trench covers in wet or corrosive plants.

Load table (uniform and line load for 6.35 mm deflection)

Span (mm) Uniform load (kN/m2) Line load (kN/m)
610 127.7 48.6
762 56.2 26.8
914 27.8 15.9
1,067 15.6 10.4
1,219 9.2 7.0
1,372 5.8 4.9
1,524 3.8 3.6

6.35 mm (1/4 in) deflection is the usual limit for walking comfort. For a typical 5 kN/m2 walkway load, keep the span at 1,219 mm or less. Full load and deflection tables are in the catalogue.

Questions About This Grating

What does GTSL-38(67) mean?

GT is TruGrid grating, SL is the slim bearing bar, 38 is the bar height in mm and 67 is the open area in percent.

Which resin should I choose?

Grey isophthalic for general use, yellow fire retardant isophthalic where fire rating matters, and green vinyl ester for strong chemicals.
