The FB 127 x 6.35 is a pultruded fiberglass (FRP) flat bar: width 127 mm (5 in); thickness 6.35 mm (1/4 in). It is a 5 inch strip in the lighter 1/4 inch thickness. It is made in Malaysia by Hexagon MF Composite Sdn Bhd, Mui Fatt's pultrusion sister company, in isophthalic polyester resin with a surface veil, in RAL 7035 light grey, and supplied by Mui Fatt.

Material and Features

Choosing This Size
The 5 inch bar is wide enough to act as a toe strip or a cover strip over joints, and to be cut into larger plates. In 6.35 mm it stays light for long runs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this bar be used as a toe board?

Is a 12.7 mm version available?
Yes: FB 127 x 12.7 is the same width in 12.7 mm thickness.
Is a fire-retardant version available?
Yes. Profiles in fire-retardant resin to ASTM E84 are made on request. Vinyl ester resin is also available on request for stronger chemicals.
Why use FRP instead of steel?
FRP is much lighter than steel, does not rust, does not conduct electricity and resists many chemicals and salt air, so it needs little maintenance in wet or corrosive sites.
