What does MT-80 mean?

How heavy is it when full?
About 360 kg of water when full, plus the tank itself. The support must be flat and level and carry the whole base evenly.
Is it safe for drinking water?
Yes. It is made to MS 1241-1:2011 for cold water storage and SIRIM certified, and registered with SPAN. The FRP is non-toxic and does not rust.
Can it be buried underground?
No. Open-top Mui Tanks are for above-ground use on a flat, level support. Closed-top Mui Tanks can be designed for underground use; ask us.
How should it be installed?
Place it on a flat, level support such as plywood or concrete that carries the whole base. Fit a backing plate outside the tank at the ball valve, use plastic or rubber washers and PTFE tape (no putty or jointing compound), cut pipe holes with a hole saw or sharp punch, support all pipes, and keep the tank away from heaters and lamps.
