This MuiGrate cover has a solid FRP (fibreglass) chequered plate top supported by pultruded FRP grating, set in a high-strength pultruded FRP L-type frame with aluminium hinges. It is the MGP F series in our catalogue, held in the concrete by FRP fishtail anchors.
Because the plate and frame are both FRP, nothing rusts. It is the cover to choose for sewage pits, wet wells and coastal sites where odour control matters. Single leaf covers go up to 1,200 x 1,200 mm.

How to Size a Cover
- Give the clear opening of the pit as width x length (W x L); for round covers, the diameter.
- The cover is made at least 50 mm larger than the actual sump opening, so it rests on the ledge.
- Frame depth is about 30 mm for 25 mm grating, 44 mm for 38 mm and 50 mm for 50 mm grating.
- Single leaf covers go up to 1,200 x 1,200 mm; larger openings use a double leaf.
